What Inspired This Healing Retreat

 

What inspired you to create this retreat?

This retreat was born out of a deeply spiritual experience I had while hosting a retreat for members of my FIT community. I call it "The Garage Experience." In that moment, I realized something profound I had done a lot of healing from painful experiences in my life but there was still more beneath the surface. It reminded me that healing isn’t a destination; it’s a journey.

As I looked around at the women I serve, I saw the same story in them. On the outside, we’re functioning, smiling, showing up in our roles as mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, friends, and professionals. But underneath, many of us are carrying unresolved pain whether from trauma, abuse, low self-worth, or the quiet burnout of carrying too much for too long.

Yet, I also see our strength. Our brilliance. Our power. The depth of our love, our creativity, our courage. That duality the pain and the power is what called me to create a sacred space where women can be fully seen, heard, and supported.

I felt led by God to design a healing retreat that doesn’t end with the weekend, but continues for the next 12 months because true transformation takes time. It’s about addressing the whole woman: spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and socially. And I had the courage to step into this calling because of my own healing journey and my work as a mental health coach and counselor.

Private rooms with ensuite bathroom limited supply.  Staying overnight is not a requirement it is for those who choose the VIP experience.

The events will be held at The Harrison Center 1505  N. Delaware Indianapolis, Indiana 46202.  Address for overnight accommodation given upon purchase of VIP ticket.

Comfortable clothing for movement and layers for variable weather.  For the Gala you can dress up or just wear what makes you feel good.

The weekend was just the beginning. Healing doesn’t end when the retreat does—that’s why we continue with what we call The Raffa Experience. It’s a 12-month journey of ongoing healing and support, created to help you carry what you received into your daily life.

You’ll have continued guidance, connection, and community—because transformation takes time, and no one should have to walk that road alone. The Raffa Experience ensures that what begins at the retreat is nurtured and sustained all year long.

NO THIS IS AN ADULT ONLY EVENT.  

All women who attend this weekend event get a swag bag and the Rappa Experience, twelve months of healing and support.  Along with the meals for that event.  There will also be special surprises!   VIP's get reserved seating, two nights accommodations, meals, copy of my latest healing book, access to the pajama party and all events.


At this healing retreat, women will experience a safe, nurturing space where they can release emotional burdens and reconnect with their true selves. They will gain practical tools to heal from past wounds, rebuild confidence, and cultivate inner peace. Through guided workshops, prayer, and soul-refreshing activities, each woman will be supported in reclaiming her voice and purpose. This retreat offers a powerful blend of spiritual renewal, sisterhood, and personal growth. Every woman will leave feeling seen, strengthened, and empowered to walk boldly into the next chapter of her life.

HEALING -RESTORATION & RENEWAL

"HEALING" IN CONTEXT OF THIS RETREAT

 When I speak about healing, I’m talking about more than just recovery—I’m talking about restoration. It’s about reconnecting spiritually—to God, and to something greater than ourselves that gives our lives depth and meaning.

Healing also means identifying, processing, and resolving emotional wounds—whether from trauma, heartbreak, or the wear and tear of life’s transitions and stressors. It includes breaking generational patterns and beliefs that have shaped us but no longer serve our well-being or growth.

To me, healing is an intentional act. It’s choosing to live free from the invisible cages—what I call conceptual incarceration—that keep so many of us bound. It’s a process of liberation, of reclaiming the truth of who you are, and creating space for joy, purpose, and peace.
